Project: Custom Fitted Headboard
Where: Chelsfield, Kent
Who: Undisclosed Residential Client

The client contacted us for a bespoke headboard when they came to redesign the bedroom in their Master Suite.  They wished to create a feel for a dropped ceiling, while looking to avoid the difficulties of retrospective structural work in their furnished home; ceiling-bonded coving with a cavity left for an LED strip created this effect.  As a result, the headboard needed to be a specific height for the room, and a depth that would work with this coving concept.

Working alongside the client at all stages, we designed this superking headboard to complement the interior scheme for the room.  Working with the bed company to ensure the divan and headboard fabric was consistent, we also stained the wooden trims to match the client’s antique mahogany bedside tables.  Differing widths to the headboard panels were a specific feature of the design, to offset the otherwise classic choice of interiors and give it a contemporary edge. The finished texture and colour of the naples velvet beautifully offsets the deep gold of the chosen Zoffany Jaipur wallpaper, for a luxurious look and feel to the room.
